With releases in labels like Music Man Records, Mirau and remixes for Coldfish in Two-B-Musik Records, Iron Curtis, that strange character better known as Johannes Paluka in his home town, Nuremberg, Germany, bring us the 21th release of Galaktika Records. You & Me EP comes full of dark melodies and mysterious voices but even yet, it's a vibrant, full of life EP.
Stavros 2007, is the perfect example of what we are talking about. It begins with a basic rhythm that gradually adds textures, voices, etc... Perfect for a warm up, this track is able to cheers up people to the night's first dance.
You & Me on That Sticky Floor is the other side of the story; this time Iron Curtis shows us his view of House: loops and pads reminiscent of Chicago, leading us in a journey to the evolving German new sound.
Reynold, the man behind Trenton -one of the most important labels of the new Berliner generation- remixes Stavros 2007. In his mix, Reynold pump the tempo up and create a houseier track than the original, where definitely the Chicago's echoes become stronger. A remix full of emotions, in perfect harmony with the rest of the EP.
Seems To (Version) is the You & Me EP closing track; an austere Deep House that goes straight to the point, with all the ingredients well placed. Perfect the end this EP, and... a party night.
